Laprica Academy was founded in 2021 by Nargis Rahimi, a mother of three, a passionate Public Health Specialist from Karolinska Institute, and co-founder of Shifo Foundation. With over 15 years of experience working alongside health workers across multiple countries to improve children’s health, one truth became clear to her: nothing can replace the powerful and unique role of parents in a child’s life.
In 2019, Nargis began a research journey to understand where to focus her own time and energy as a parent. What started as research for the sake of her children soon became a personal transformation, revealing what truly matters in raising thriving children and in becoming a thriving parent.
As she shared what she learned with friends and family, Nargis began hearing the quiet stories of mothers, fathers, caregivers, and children who were struggling without clear guidance and support. She saw how many parents carry unspoken experiences into parenthood, and how deeply they long for clarity, confidence, and a sense of peace.
Parenting, she realized, requires us to take what was good from our past, leave behind what was not, and learn and do what can be better.
Laprica Academy was born from this realization, with the mission to walk alongside parents as they build a nurturing, intentional path for their children and themselves to thrive.
